We dream about little getaways more than ever. We’ve been home for a while and social distancing got us hard. But it doesn’t mean we can not plan short getaways. We can go for a weekend spent at the chalet, to cabins or summer holiday homes. Find a little inspiration about what I would pack from my capsule wardrobe. All items are exactly the ones what I own and you can find me wearing all the time.

Travel Light

I learned to pack only a bare minimum. I try to plan my outfits ahead of the trip and see if I can stick with it. If weather surprises me there are always options to wear something else. As I mentioned so many times in my travel series the most important is to pack breathable and natural materials. Even if you sweat a bit you can wear it the next day when you let it air dry overnight. Trust me no one will notice.

What I Pack and Why

When I go for a weekend I need to know what kind of activity I will do. If it’s visiting some friends it will be different then going to the chalet and go for light hiking. But if it’s a bit of both I will pack 1 pair of shoes. One dress-up shoe and the second pair will be trainers.

Jeans – are my all the time favourite for any occasion and activity. So they are is no question.

T-shirt – whenever I travel I wear Organic Basics t-shirt for it’s great breathable and sweat control function. SilverTech technology keeps me fresh even for long trips in the car.

Sweater – for colder days it’s a great layer. Light and keeps you stylish. Looks chic even when you need to wear it on its own. Or as an extra layer for the evening.

A short sleeve knit – this is my newest item in the capsule wardrobe. I found it easy to wear for spring and autumn. As the temperature is still quite low, but high enough for a long sleeve sweater. I love it and it will stay for a while.

Leather Jacket – adds a bit of edge and keeps the cold away.

Sunglasses – I wear them all the time. Even when the weather is not so good but there is too much light. They don’t protect only your eyes but keeps your face wrinkle-free for a bit longer as well. Make the sunglasses your best friends and don’t worry to spend a bit more on them.
