The last few months have been really harsh, and I think it doesn’t affect our lives but our styles as well. At least mine. I went from the corporate office to work from home with 2 kids running around. Instead of dressing in smart clothes, I dress more casual but still has to be ready for online meetings like most of us. I got more jeans and relaxed styles shirts in as I could wear them all day and every day not only on casual Fridays. I think most of us went from office smart to smart-casual capsule wardrobes. But what it actually means by the smart-casual capsule wardrobe?

Smart Casual Capsule Wardrobe

Dressing smart casual can mean different things to different people. For some, it’s wearing jeans or chinos instead of smart trousers or wear a t-shirt with your smart trousers. For me, it’s a mix of both styles. Wearing heels with the otherwise casual and slouchy outfit is a pretty cool approach to dressing smart casual. Or to wear a pair of trainers with your tailored fit clothes.  Also instead of wearing tailored fit clothes to go a more slouchy way. But don’t go too much over the board. We don’t want to look like we lost sense of style at all.

Little Swaps

If we are not sure where to start, go for a tiny swap in your wardrobe. Instead of wearing a tailored fit shirt opt for a bit looser fit. Or instead of wearing flats with jeans and a t-shirt, wear a blazer and heels. By dressing smart casual you need to keep an eye on the little detail that can make or break your outfit.  Below I prepared a few outfits that I would like to wear myself.
