What a year!! Generally, at this time I would be writing a post on how to travel light for Christmas, and we would be travelling home to visit the family but this year is entirely upside down. We don’t need to travel anywhere as we already moved back home a while ago, and even we won’t be able to go outside and spend time with friends. But we’ll be happily lounging in our comfortable loungewear and staying at home for Christmas. To feel good at home I found some lovely pieces to feel luxurious and relaxed with the comfort in mind.

Stay At Home Christmas

We already accommodated to the crazy life this year, but over Christmas, we want to feel great, festive and to look our best. With the right clothes, we can achieve all of these. We can be comfortable in a pyjama but if it’s silk it will upgrade the feel. All little black dress can be swapped for knitted dress, just to add a touch of red lipstick and you forget you are at home. With this little swaps, I could go for so long. It’s more about the stage of mind no matter of the location. So turn the Christmas music on, get some Christmas punch, jump in the slippers and you can have the most peaceful Christmas ever.

I remember Christmas when I had to stay in London on my own, I mean without my family, I stayed with my friends. And that was actually the most peaceful Christmas what I ever had. We cooked together, we had good laugh and we enjoyed the time spent together. That year it wasn’t about presents, we didn’t even have Christmas dinner on time, and that was the most relaxing Christmas I ever had. Please don’t tell my mum!! Don’t get me wrong, I love to spend Christmas with my family, but sometimes it gets too stressful as everyone trying to get everything right in a timely manner and to do so many things at once, as there was no more time left.  Christmas is about slowing down and enjoy time together. Take a seat and relax, whether it’s watching the favourite Christmas movie or sleep on the sofa. That should be the most magical time what you spend with your love once.

When was your best Christmas ever? Would you like to feel the same as you did at that time? I am pretty sure you would, so what’s stopping you, this year you can recreate the same feeling as you had that time, but at home, if it was at home. We have plenty of time, no need to rush anywhere, no more stress if everything goes right. Christmas comes and goes but that peaceful time you will remember forever.
