Summer is in a full swing and I was thinking about what would I pack for a week-long beach holiday. The easiest approach to a capsule wardrobe is to create a year-long capsule wardrobe. Most pieces will be suitable to wear at any season of the year. In this case, packing for your beach summer holidays will be a breeze.
Travel Light For Summer Holidays
Gone are the days when we dragged the huge suitcase through the airport and overpacked with too many clothes only for a few days spent in the sun. We are old enough to feel comfortable in our own skin and if the skin is sun-kissed it’s even better. We don’t need to take our whole wardrobe when the most used piece is a bikini.
What To Pack
The best thing about the capsule wardrobe is we only own items that we love and we look good at. The same it’s for the summer holidays packing. We need to pack items that we will actually wear and what we need. I created an inspiration based on an all-year-round wardrobe, packed the only minimum. Of course, more items can be added if you need them.
Accessories Are The Key
An all-year-round capsule wardrobe can be easily transitioned to a summer wardrobe with the right accessories. You don’t need much only a statement necklace or a bracelet will make your otherwise simple look make stand out. For travelling light, you need to keep it to a minimum.
What do you normally pack for your holidays? Did you get used to travelling light or do you still overpack? Let me know in the comments so we can inspire each other.
